Lauren Odell
Lauren graduated nursing school in 2021 during the pandemic and went straight to working at our local hospital in the Covid unit. As a brand new nurse, not only was the career field intimidating, but the pandemic coupled with the uncertainty it brought, was even more overwhelming. Working 12 hour plus shifts most days, Lauren felt completely out of control and would leave the hospital feeling defeated, stressed and completely exhausted. It was during this period that she found (Classical) Pilates.
Pilates on 8th quickly became the one space where Lauren felt good about herself AND in control of her mind, body and life actions. She would leave each session feeling grounded and ready to take on whatever came next in life. By implementing Pilates into her life, it allowed Lauren to show up for her family, friends, patients and most importantly, herself. Lauren knew that one day she would want to make Pilates more than just a personal practice, she wanted to be able to personally introduce people to this unique method of movement.
Fast forward a few years and Lauren was finally surrounded by the support system she needed to begin her teacher training journey through the Power Pilates training program. After two separate intensive trainings, one in NYC and one in Philadelphia, she proudly received her certifications for both beginner and intermediate mat instruction.
Lauren feels blessed beyond measure to have the opportunity to begin teaching Mat classes at the Pilates on 8th studio, all while continuing to advance her education within the Pilates world. She encourages all who have ever considered taking a Pilates class to come. Pilates is a safe space to make the most of the simplest things, become stronger, feel grounded and make deep connections with others. Lauren looks forward to being part of that journey for her clients and of course, having fun along the way!

Stacey Olver
Stacey has been a part of the Pilates on 8th family since 2018. Born and raised in our beautiful small town, her fitness journey has been heavily influenced and inspired by her mother from a young age. She is passionate about guiding other women to become their strongest and best selves, both physically and mentally.
Stacey has a dual Bachelors Degree in Business, specializing in both Accounting and Finance. She is a wife and mother to four beautiful children and works full time in the corporate world. She was introduced to Pilates as a way to “return to life” after a significant period of burnout. (And, yes, we’ve all been there! But what’s more amazing than a good comeback?!)
After obtaining an injury in the gym, Pilates created a safe and effective exercise environment for Stacey where she was able to escape the day to day stresses and begin to heal both physically and mentally through this unique method of movement. Within her first few lessons, she felt the difference and within a few months of consistent practice, the changes were undeniable. Stacey’s life changing journey back to health through Pilates made her realize that becoming a certified Classical Pilates instructor was the next step in her wellness journey. She is a true empath at heart and enjoys learning about her clients mentally and physically, while supporting them in their path to greater health and wellness.
